We were privileged to know Elsie as a neighbor in Pleasantville (NY) where she reigned as the heart and soul and soul of Great Oak Lane. We later followed the Johnson's to Orleans, (MA) and continued our friendship there by the sea. We can only echo the message of Helen Jarrett...Elsie was all of these adjectives and more. She will indeed be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with her family and we hope that time and happy memories will help assuage their grief.

Elsie will be missed. She could be described as caring, gentle, affable, generous, loving, full of fun, a little bundle of dynamite and delightful to know. She made her piece of the world a better place.
