MIDDLEBURY-----Dorothy M. Reymond, 93, of Middlebury passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 15, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends.
Dorothy was born on August 19, 1924 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Adolph and Martha Reymond. Dorothy graduated from St. Margaret-McTernan School in 1942. After college she worked at Chase Brass and in the Traffic Department at Yale University. She volunteered for many charities in the Waterbury area and served on the Board of Directors for the Reymond Baking Co. for many years. Dorothy was a member of the Waterbury Club and the Mattatuck Museum and she enjoyed Holiday House tours in Woodbury and Waterbury Symphony concerts. She was a kind & gracious person who always shared a smile with everyone that she met. She was devoted to her family and was a loyal and loving friend to many.
She leaves her two nephews, Robert and his wife Claudia and Richard and his wife Barbara. She also leaves a great niece, Megan and two great nephews, Robert and Richard, Jr.
She was predeceased by her sister, Martha Reymond Schaus.
The family would like thank all of the caregivers, the staff at All About You and VITAS Hospice who truly loved Dorothy.
The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, February 20th at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home in Southbury, 235 Main Street North, from 9:30AM - 11AM. There will be Funeral Service at 11AM. The burial will be held at Old Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury.
