Mrs. Ann Rudolf, 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Watermark at East Hill, Southbury CT. She was the loving wife of Robert J. Rudolf.
Ann was born on August 28, 1931 in Fleischmanns, N.Y. the daughter of Ward K. Reynolds and Marion (Kilpatrick) Reynolds. Ann was a graduate of Fleischmanns High School and graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in physical education, where she met her husband Bob. After graduating from Ithaca she taught for two years in the Voorheesville, N.Y. central school system. After her marriage to Bob, June 11, 1955, Ann taught in the Southfield, MI school system while Bob was attending the University of Detroit.
After returning to New York Ann was a devoted mother to her six children, two sets of twins, and a loving homemaker. Ann and Bob lived in North Salem, N.Y. for 42 years, during that time Ann worked as a substitute teacher and was also the Director of Recreation for the town of North Salem for several years. Ann also worked for her husband's firm as a bookkeeper introducing the use of computers for the firms needs in the late 1970's.
Ann was an avid golfer at the Salem Golf Club. She often liked to remind her husband Bob that she got her first " Hole in One" 9 years before he did. Ann and her husband traveled extensively during their time in business.
Besides her devoted husband of 64 years, Ann leaves behind daughter, Robin O'Keefe, son, Steven Rudolf, daughter, Beth (Dr. Steven) Puma, son, David (Marcy), son, Mark (Lydia) and son James. Ann also leaves 10 grandchildren, Adam, Amy, Casey, Nicholas, Christian, Meghan, Mary Beth, Kathleen, Sage and Samantha, and 6 great grandchildren. Ann also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Virginia and Carol.
Calling hours will be on Friday, July 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main St. North, Southbury CT. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 6. Burial services will be held on Monday.
